The Twelve Apostles
Port Cambpell National Oark, The Great Ocean Road, Shipwreck Coast, Victoria, Australia
Taken at the famous Twelve Apostles (or 'Sow and Piglets), on the Great Ocean Road. I'm sure you've all seen/heard of these landmarks, this is my take on it. Unfortunately the sun was behind the clouds so any particularly dramatic lighting was non existant, but I had to make the best of what there was since we had travelled almost 3 hours to get there. A polariser and filter was used to bring the photo down a few stops to slow the shutter speed, to achieve the soft effect of the waves lapping on the beach.
This photo was taken just a few days before one of the apostles collapsed, the closest one on the left.
You bore me little D, how boring, stop boring everyone!....
Nah just kidding, it looks mad as always... ya make an awesome contrast between the reds and oranges of the sky and the blues of the water, dunno if thats cz of the sunset filter or it actually looked similar, but its awesome regardless, nice work buddy
Seeing this landmark myself, i can really see the difference between the real thing and the photo. I love the use of the sunset filter, brings out the reds and it looks great. Great shutter speed the water is smooth.
Out of intrest, did you enhance the sky or did you manage to create that at the original photo?
